Modulation-based noise reduction
TriState Noise Reduction combines VoiceFinder technology with a new 8-channel, modulation-based noise reduction system to maintain a balance between comfort and speech intelligibility.

First, the advanced Voicefinder speech detector searches for high-frequency synchronous energy - which indicates the presence of speech. Then, the channel-specific noise level detector determines the degree of noise, and whether it is likely to mask the speech. If so, the system is fully activated.

This multidimensional approach allows Syncro to differentiate between speech only, speech in noise or noise only in all eight channels of its noise management system. See below to see how it responds in each situation.

Three distinct modes
Syncro's TriState Noise Management system operates in three distinct states:

• Speech Only – where no intervention is needed to maintain optimum speech understanding across a wide range of input levels
• Speech in Noise - where moderate noise reduction is progressively applied to reduce background noise and preserve the integrity of the speech signal
• Noise Only – where maximum attenuation is applied in each channel for comfort rather than noise
