Server Storage Specialist

To support continuing growth, we currently seek a Server/Storage Specialist to assist with the daily running of our IT systems. The successful applicant will primarily maintain the organization's server infrastructure and SAN environment. Additionally, will assist in the upgrading of existing systems and implementation of new systems. Coordinating with the Infrastructure Manager, responsibilities include ensuring that the IT infrastructure and core systems function as required; address any problems, faults or performance issues; coordinating and scheduling maintenance work on system components to ensure minimum disruption to the business; installing/configuring newsystems and decommission old systems; ensuring all IT policies, procedures and standards are followed; and providing support for users with IT related issues.

Qualified candidates will possess a college degree or the equivalent, at least three years similar experience with proficiency in system maintenance, and a Microsoft Systems Engineer and/or Cisco certification (preferably in a security related field). This individual must also have experience in the following: Windows OS (XP professional, Server 2003), HP/Compaq servers, workstations and laptops; Active Directory 2003; Citrix Presentation server 4.0, Exchange 2003 server and Outlook; Storage Area networks; MS Clustered servers, VMWare server
and/or ESX server; Cisco switches (6500 and 3000 series), MS IIS v6; Cisco PIX firewall, ISA; TCP/IP v 4 and MS Office.

Additionally, experiencein any or all of the following would be helpful: Avaya IP telephony; Legato backup, MS SQL 2000, Cisco Call Manager, VOIP.

The successful candidate must be a team player with excellent communication skills and be able to successfully demonstrate the following: be extremely well structured; possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate good analytical skills. In addition, must be willing to assist others and work to deadlines. Valid permit to work in the USA essential.
