Multi-band Adaptive Directionality
Conventional, fixed directional systems cannot split the signal into different frequency bands for individual processing - they must operate either in Directional or Surround Mode in all frequencies simultaneously. This also means that they can lock onto and cancel only one source of noise at a time.

Vigo Pro uses Multiband Adaptive Directionality to split the signal into four different frequencies. This enables it to remain in directional mode longer and to suppress multiple noise sources simultaneously.

Three modes of operation
Vigo Pro offers three modes of operation: Surround, Split Directionality and Full Directionality. The unique, Split Directionality Mode now broadens the directional function to include lower input levels - including moderate wind noise. Only the first of Vigo’s four adaptive frequency bands moves into Surround Mode, so that the three mid- and higher-frequency bands can continue to purge the speech signal for noise.

Vigo Pro can cancel out up to four different noise sources simultaneously.

TriState Noise Management
Noise reduction systems are designed to reduce annoyance from loud inputs, but they can also reduce speech intelligibility in challenging communication environments. Vigo Pro helps to overcome these limitations with the aid of TriState Noise Management.

TriState Noise Management combines VoiceFinder (Voice Recognition) technology with a an 8 channel noise reduction system to maintain a balance between speech intelligibility and comfort.

The system operates in three distinct states:

  • Speech only - provides full amplification with no attenuation
  • Speech in noise - applies moderate noise reduction in order to preserve speech intelligibility
  • Noise only - provides full noise reduction for maximum comfort, without the risk of compromising speech intelligibility.

Dynamic Feedback Cancellation 2 (DFC2)
Vigo’s new DFC system eradicates feedback before it can develop into whistling. Unlike traditional systems, which reduce gain to eliminate feedback (at the risk of losing speech information), Vigo uses precise digital phase cancellation. This avoids reduction of gain and distortion of the signal.
