Two critical advantages
Syncro's Multi-band Adaptive Directionality system offers two advantages over fixed directional systems:

  1. an ability to evaluate input and predict which mode will provide the best Voice-over-Noise ratio
  2. an ability to detect the angle of the dominant noise source and automatically change the polar pattern to provide maximum attenuation for that sound.

Four-band directionality enables Syncro to assign separate polar plots for each band and therefore remove up to four sources of noise simultaneously.

Three modes of operation
Syncro offers three modes: Surround, Split Directionality and Full Directionality. The choice of mode is based on factors such as input level, wind noise, the actual Voice to Noise Ratio (VNR) and the position of the dominant speaker - all of which are monitored by sophisticated environmental detectors.

Surround Mode
Is ideal for soft to moderate sound environments. Voices come through clearly without the need for directional processing.

Directionality Mode
Provides a directional effect at lower background noise levels - including wind noise. The first of Syncro's four frequency bands moves into Surround Mode, in the lowest frequency only, leaving three independent bands of directionality free to operate in the mid and high frequencies.

Full Directionality Mode
In loud environments, this enables each of the four bands to place nulls in separate polar plots. Thus, Syncro can attenuate up to four different noise sources simultaneously.
